Urnatur is nominated as one of three Swedish eco tourism entrepreneurs for the
Grand Travel Awards Eco Tourism price for 2012

The prize is awarded on Wednesday 22 February
to the organizer that was bringing to life
Swedish eco-tourism the best in the past year.

In September we also had "the anthropologist" visiting us :)
They belong to "Anthropologie" (see below) and they have a nice website with odd documentaries from all over the world.

Now they also made a documentary on Urnatur with beautiful daily life pictures and videos of Håkan pottering about on our farm making fire, building traditional fences, fishing crayfish, picking mushrooms...

Caroline Winberg in Urnaturs "äsping" when Philadelphia-based company "Anthropologie" is shooting their new fashion collection for the December catalog 2010.

The spirit of the Swedish forest is beautiful,
but dangerous.
She has lured many a man away
to be lost forever in her embrace.

She is known to Swedes as "skogsrå".

Welcome to have a look at our new treehouse:

AIRCASTLE
with its spiral staircase winding up on a pine tree, suspension bridges to a platform and a little porch upstairs...

When it is a stormy day it can be rather an adventure to sleep her - It can be swinging, creaking, cracking, squeaking -
it´s like sailing on the dry land.

If you think off booking the air castle you should definitively not be afraid of heights or easily get seasick :)

New treehouse with view over the lake?

No - this is going to be a platform for fishhawks!

During the autumn Håkan and Christer managed to finish som nature conservation projects around lake Visjö.
Next summer we hope to get many exciting new guests :)

The hermitage is a small and very genuine place
To the wood hermitageyou can come yourself, with friends, relatives, your club or company.

Good food with wild herbs, crayfish-dinner, wood fired sauna and a good conversation at the open fire. Borrow our canoe and make a trip on the lake, listen to the diver, the tawny owl and the silence.
