Green Meetings & environmentally friendly Conferences
We want to offer you a very personal, genuine and inspiring venue. We want everything to be well thought out and as environmentally friendly as possible. Housings, tin castle and the sauna are heated with wood, shower water is heated with solar energy. The water comes from our own wells. The toilets are urine separating....
In our vegetable garden we grow much of the vegetables we serve. Much is also picked wild around the corner or in the vicinity. Some of the breakfast eggs come from our own hens.
Depending on the season we offer crayfish, lamb from our own farm and exciting dishes with wild herbs. Urnatur is fully licensed for private parties.
The tin castle situated at Visjön can be used for both conferences and banqueting.
Here we also serve breakfast, lunch - and dinners to larger parties.
We can accommodate groups up to 30 people during a day to day conference. The accommodation in the forest hermitage is genuine, simple but comfortable. You live in hand timbered cabins without electricity. There are 17 beds in 7 huts and treehouses.

Take a morning swim or picnic at the lake. We have our own jetty, it is possible to borrow canoes and rowing boats, take a sauna and a bath in a wood-fired hot tub ...

We offer everything from day conferences, lunch to lunch or multi-day conferences.
Urnatur might also be interesting for your foreign customers or key persons who are eager to see Sweden as its best. We have many foreign guests from all over the world who come here specifically to experience Urnatur.
LOGISTICS
Urnatur is in the midlle of South Sweden, close to the highway E4.
4 hours drive from Malmo, three hours from Stockholm and two hours from Gothenburg.
The nearest airports are in Jonkoping and Linkoping.
To Stockholm/Skavsta (Ryan air) it takes 2 hours by car.
The nearest train station (30km) is Mjölby and Tranås.
Bus (Swebus express) is the best collective means of transport to get to Ödeshög with. Stop Ödeshög / Östgöta Rasta.

coffee over the open fire
Swedish outdoor living is unimaginable without a cup of coffee. Together we make up a fire with matches and boil coffee over an open fire. We arrange some good snacks and in good company you enjoy a cup of real traditional Swedish coffee.
The activity is short but gives a much needed break with the opportunity for good conversation.

make a fire, make coffee and bake bark bread
Together you light a fire with the bow drill - without any matches. Difficult but with good cooperation and a little pig-headedness you will succeed. Over the fire we put on some coffee and bake bark bread.
The activity provides frustrating laughter but also a great reward when the fire finally is burning in the end.

take a bath in a wood-fired hot tub
End the day by jumping into a steaming hot wood fired tub. Look at the stars and listen to the wind, the silence, birds or friends' latest gossip;)
The hot tub is located in the forest at the bathhouse, sauna and showers. You can sit about six people in the hot tub at the time, possibly more as some prefer the sauna, sometimes you have to sit on the terrace and the steam off a little ...

pick and prepare your own herbspa
Together we pick wild herbs. The season may determine what happens. Based on what we find, we will produce such as Herbal salt to the foot bath, facial toner, body scrub, facial seals.
Then you have the opportunity to try your new products
- And in a hui we have transformed the bathhouse into a fragrant forestspa.

Indianbastu
Together we are building an ingeniously simple sauna right at the lake. We start with a big fire in which we heat the stones. When the stones are red hot, they are placed in the middle of the sauna, water is poured onto them and a lovely warm vapor spreads in the sauna. In the sauna you can take a cold beer and a refreshing swim in the lake afterwards.

Together, we prepare an exciting lunch or dinner over the open fire. The menu depends on the season and always contains wild herbs from the surroundings.

In order to develop as an individual and as a group, we need to know what the effect of our behavior and actions is on other people. Giving and receiving feedback is considered the most effective tool to develop individuals and groups.
WALKING MEETING
Especially if you are a small group, it is a good idea to implement parts of the meeting outside. We can give you tips on nice places to walk to in the area. We can arrange a picnic with thermoses and baskets / bags.
The activity provides a great deal of fresh air and time for many fruitful discussions during the tour.

Down by the lake and farm you find thetin castle, our studio / shop and outdoor kitchen. Here ther is There is electricity! The tin castle is used both for serving breakfast and lunches at conferences. In fine weather you can also sit outside on the terrace overlooking Visjön.
From here it is about 500m walk (!) to the huts of the wood hermitage.
